Fastback

Today we have a variety of different methods for binding printed material. Some of the most commonly used methods are spiral binding, paper or clear covers, three ring binder, plastic coils, and Fastback bindings, to name but a few. None of these methods, except for Fastback binding results in a finished bound book or booklet that resembles the hard cover books we are accustomed to seeing today.

The Fastback binding system (purchase a binding system.) is one of the newest systems and it is becoming more and more important, especially to authors who publish their works on the internet. Today many of these authors choose to bypass the large publisher to write and publish their works directly to the reading public. This allows the writer tremendous freedom, without censorship, to express their ideas and stories freely. When the Fastback binding machine is coupled with the computer, it makes for a combination that is a far cry from the first Guttenberg Presses.

Fastback binding first came to us twenty-four years ago. George Parker invented the first Fastback binding machine. Like many great inventions, it was conceived of at his home. As George's invention was refined, he soon found that there was a need and a market for his invention, so he started the Powis Company. Today the Powis Company is a leader in the production of Fastback binding machines.

The Fastback binding machine works by utilizing a thermally activated adhesive strip to bind the page together. It also has the ability to bind hard covers to the material. The result is a hard cover book or booklet. No holes or other fasteners are needed to hold the pages together. Today by using the Fastback binding machine, anyone can make a hardcover book for themselves.

Why is there such a large market for the Fastback binding machine? The primary reasons for the success of the Fastback binding machine are the small size of the machine and the quality of the finished bound book. The Fastback binding machine works well for desk top publishing, and fits well in a small work area. Finally, the quality of the finished book or booklet is excellent.

The Fastback system is a great system to create professional looking books and booklets. The Fastback machine offers a quality binding at an economical price. When the time comes for you to consider binding a printed project, please visit us at www.swplastic.com. We'd love to help.
